Is a social media agency worth it?

It really comes down to what you're asking social media to handle.

At this point, it's more than posting updates. Platforms change constantly. Attention shifts. What works in one place can fall flat somewhere else.

An experienced team is paying attention to those shifts so the church doesn't have to. They know Facebook behaves differently than Instagram, and TikTok plays by an entirely different set of rules. More importantly, they understand how credibility is built over time, not overnight.

There's also the issue of guardrails. Voice, tone, theology, and visuals need to stay aligned. Once those start drifting, it's hard to pull things back together.

Could a church manage this internally? Sometimes.

But experience shortens the learning curve, prevents avoidable mistakes, and gives staff space to stay focused on ministry.

A good agency doesn't speak for the church.

It helps protect how the church is heard.
