How often should churches post on Facebook?

There’s no perfect number, but there is a healthy range.

For most churches, 2–4 times a week on Facebook is plenty when it’s done consistently.

Facebook is still mostly your existing people. It’s where announcements, reminders, sermon clips, Scripture, and community moments tend to land best. Posting every day isn’t required, and posting too often can actually cause people to tune things out.

The bigger issue isn’t frequency. It’s rhythm.

It’s better to post three solid times every week than post seven times one week and disappear the next. Consistency builds familiarity, and familiarity builds trust.

If your church can only handle twice a week right now, start there and do it well. Show up steadily, keep the voice clear, and let faithfulness matter more than volume.
